ITS, Departmental and Pathology Workflows
While recent trends clearly show a movement towards the adoption of Meditech's Physician Documentation tool there are still many sites not quite ready to move to PDoc for any or all of their providers.
PCA has done extensive works with many provider types in the "older" documentation tools found in ITS, O/E Departmental and Pathology.
Of course, prior to PDoc becoming widely available all we had were these modules to work with and we did to great success. There still remains plenty of opportunity to leverage the use of speech recognition to improve the documentation efficiency and effectiveness to those providers without access to PDoc.
If you decide to move to PDoc at a later date all of the voice training done will carry over so that the providers will not have to retrain themselves and they'll be immediately ready to dictate into it.
